Introduction
The transponder is the subsea and seabed element of Kongsberg Maritime's underwater positioning and navigation systems.
Our underwater transponder models have 56 channels for use with the HPR series and HiPAP systems, and are depth rated to 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 6500 meters.
Common for all these models are that they, on interrogation, replies with a single- or a multi-pulse response. This reply contains different information for the HPR or HiPAP systems depending on the current application.
