The FleetMaster electronic logbook has received international recognition at
the Seatrade Awards ceremony held at the Guildhall in London. The system was runner-up
in the 'Innovation in Ship Operations' category and was one of only three short-listed
products out of eighteen entries from across the marine industry.
"The competition was tough against the shortlisted entries and we're very happy
to have got this far," comments Bjørn Tore Frøshaug. "FleetMaster is a modern take
on the age old process of keeping a log, and in this light, has been proven successful.
I'd like to congratulate the FleetMaster team for doing such a great job."
The Seatrade Awards have been promoting improvements in maritime standards for
16 years, and have become a highly praised platform for innovative, standout products
and services designed to improve ship operations, help save lives and protect the
environment. 2004 marks the 16th anniversary of the Seatrade Awards, and as every
year, they were hotly contested with the best developments in the worldwide marine
industry vying for the judge's attention.
Bjarne Bjorkan, Product manager commenting on the awards said, "The
FleetMaster electronic logbook is now installed, or ordered for 46 different vessels.
FleetMaster is a forward looking system that helps the ship's officers, the operator
ashore and the authorities become more efficient in everyday operations and I'm
pleased to say, that this is what the Seatrade Awards have recognised."
